It had been a few years since I dined at an Outback. The food and service had gotten pretty bad, so I just avoided them. So I was in town and wanted a steak. I decided to see if things had improved. I am happy to yes they did! I was so impressed with the service and the quality of my dinner, I returned for lunch a few days later with a coworker. Looks like Outback has gained a customer back thanks the the Cedar Rapids location.

We have been patronizing Outback for over 10 years and for the most part, the quality of food and service has been exceptional, however tonight there was a significant difference in the wings that I ordered. Typically they were big and meaty with lots of flavor. Tonight, they were minuscule and not as robust as usual. I would hate to think that they have succumbed to what every other restaurant seems to be doing, skimping on quality in an effort to save and more money. May go back in the future, but this is a huge downer in my book.

We really enjoyed this location. The Victoria's Filet was cooked perfectly, the flavor was scrumptious and the texture was 'melt in your mouth'. Service was impeccable. Here's a hint, they offer a service were you can reserve your spot in line via the Internet. They don't offer phone ahead so be sure to go online. It saved us so much time waiting when we were at the restaurant.

Great food and service from this Outback. The staff are friendly and the food is always delicious. The best prime rib and steak in Cedar Rapids!

Steak was over cooked. Waitress was barely around. Complained and nothing was done. I will NOT be back. Now I remember why I usually go to Texas Roadhouse

I will not support a business that acknowledges they owe money to a cleaning worker for their services but will not pay them because they are an immigrant. This is wage theft. There is no room for businesses like this in the community. facebook.com/centerforwo…

I went with family and they all said their meals were pretty good, but they ordered steak. Their french onion soup smelled delicious and I was told it was very good. I ordered the new Asian salad. I asked to substitute tomatoes for the chicken. I made it clear I wanted everything else on the salad. When it came it was just a crappy iceberg lettuce salad like you buy in a bag at the store with some tomatoes thrown on top and sesame dressing on the side. (The cost was $12.99.) I told the waitress it was supposed to have red bell pepper, cilantro, sesame seeds and almonds on it. She graciously took it back to have it corrected. It came back with all but the cilantro. She said the cooks told her it was mixed in. It was not. I was then brought out a little cup with a wilted sprig of cilantro that was not chopped up. Once it finally had all the ingredients it was not too bad other than the iceberg lettuce. What was I thinking ordering a salad at a steak house? The manager came to the table and gave me a card to get a free appetizer some time. I don't eat any of their appetizers because they are all meat, cow dairy or fried food. It was a nice gesture though. Our waitress was amazing and did a great job serving us. There was no excuse for the cooks screwing up the salad twice. We went in at 4 p.m. when they first open for supper and it was not busy at all. Honestly, I have had better salads at Country Kitchen and El Perrico for half the price.

Great service good food just not enough different choices for me here, there's nothing here that makes me want to come back and say oh I want this from Outback.

Nice place to go for a family dinner. But if you're on a budget watch out... what use to be included in your meal is no longer. Side salads are an additional cost and over priced. The ever popular Bloomin' Onion is the same as it ever was; but still good. I had a Strawberry Passion Martini... I think they forgot the "Passion". Very blah and seemed like they just used Strawberry puree and some vodka. Felt like we were being rushed the whole time but that's how the franchise business goes I guess. Trying to do as many covers as possible.
